The 350 acre Eureka Historic District contains 154 contributing buildings and one contributing structure. Many of these building date from the mid 1850's and are exquisite restored examples of Queen Anne and Eastlake style Victorian architecture, including buildings by the well known Victorian architects, Samuel and Joseph Newsom.
