The parking spot is where the railbed crosses the dirt road, but the rails aren't visible at that spot and the bed can be difficult to see due to the kudzu. If you go further up the dirt road to where the powerlines cross you can follow them down to the rails, but that makes the terrain component even tougher.
This tunnel is in excellent condition. The walls show very little damage from time, and graffiti-spraying Neanderthals haven't found it yet, probably because of the work involve in getting to it.
Brambles and fallen trees make the half-mile walk along the tracks to the tunnel quite a challenge. Find a web whacking stick to take down the spiders and be sure to wear long pants and good shoes.
The tunnel is in very good shape and inhabited by bats and frogs, with plenty of evidence of visiting raccoons.
The bats are mostly near the south entrance and as you walk through it you'll be able to see the clusters of them nesting on the ceiling getting thicker and thicker as you get closer to the south entrance.
