This resort is not a part of the Walt Disney World Resort complex near Orlando, Florida, but is approximately two hours driving time southeast. While it does feature traditional features like character meals on the weekend, the resort is much more relaxed. This resort is actively committed to the preservation of the Sea Turtles that use the area for their nesting grounds. A high seagrape hedge and shielded exterior lighting are designed to minimize any disorientation in young turtles as they make their way to the sea after hatching.
