Across Belgium there are still a lot of churchyard cemeteries. A specially in the small villages it’s still common that the cemetery is situated in the churchyard. Many of these churchyard cemeteries near the Roman-Catholic churches are still used today. Most of the churches were build from the 16th till the 18th century.
Sint-Kruis-Winkel is a small village with 1196 inhabitants.
The soberly graves of the nuns (living in the convent nearby) impressed me the most.
