Oceano calls it self the Gateway to the Dunes. The dunes in this case is the only off road vehicle area on the coast of California. Every weekend the sounds of dune buggies, motorcycles, and 4 wheel off road vehicles can be heard over Oceano. The main entrance to the dunes is right through Oceano. Oceano is also famous for vegatable production. Oceano is part of the Five Cities area of San Luis Obispo county. It is boardered by Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, and Arroyo Grande and of course the Pacific Ocean, thus the name.
