The Chieftain Restaurant and it's conspicuous sign are located along South Tacoma Way, formerly known as U.S. Route 99. The restaurant has seen better days, but it still had quite a few customers.

The "Totem Room" neon is actually the only neon here. We looked carefully for the telltale holes on the Chieftain sign but the holes we found were bullet holes.

This restaurant was at one time located in a prime location along the nation's major north/south highway. Now, it's a lonely broken down spot that's seen better days.
