At the intersection of the Lochside Regional Trail and the Blenkinsop Greenway. Rings was created for the Saanich Centennial and is meant to represent the lines created by the growth of a Douglas fir tree over a 100 year period. As the width and contour of a tree’s rings tell a story of its passage through time in a particular place, the changing nature of the sculpture’s steel rings can also be a meta-phor for the evolving and expanding nature of a family or community
