Our department was established in 1915 and was totally volunteer until December 1994 when the first paid firefighter was hired by the Town. We now have nine (9) full time firefighters and 40 volunteers.

We operate out of 1 fire station with 8 pieces of fire apparatus. We have 2 engines, one tanker, one service truck, one grass unit pick up truck, one command vehicle, one utility pick up and a 95' ladder truck. We answer approximately 400 emergency calls a year and speak to over 3,000 adults and children every year concerning fire prevention and safety.
