GUM(pronounced "goom"),(Glavny Universalny Magazin - Main universal store), was privatized and transformed into an upscale mall after the fall of communism. This ornate marble fountain, which occupies a central rotunda, is a well known feature of the building, constructed in 1890-1893.

The coordinates were taken at the main GUM entrance on the east side of Red Square.
