This section of the Florida Trial runs approximately 23 miles from the Marshal Swamp Trailhead on CR 314 near Sharpes Ferry north to the junction with the Ocala East Section near the intersection of CR 316 and FR 88.
The trail from CR 314A north to the junction with the Ocala East Section is in good shape and is well blazed.
The trail from CR 314 near Sharpes Ferry to CR 314A is currently under construction. The trail is blazed and signage has been placed at major road crossings. However, hikers should exercise extreme caution when hiking this developing section. Hikers should expect wet conditions with water in a few places running knee to waist deep until trail construction is completed.
