A long-dormant volcano erupts with devastating force in the lovely mountain town of Dante's Peak, which has just been named the second most desirable place to live in America. The bar scene was actually shot at the Snakepit, an old restaurant and tavern, in Enaville, Idaho. I visited the Snakepit during the Missoula Ice Age Flood Trip in August 2007 from western Montana to the mouth of the Columbia River. My thanks to Geocacher N7SZY for the coordinates. I thought that I had written down the coordinates but could not find my notes.
