Native Cutthroats live here. There is a gravelbar at the confluence that gives you perfect access to the deep channel here.

This spot is by far the most productive hole for native cutts I've ever fished. These brutes routinely get to 24+ inches. Be prepared with a heavy leader and sharp hooks.

As one of Idaho's premier wild rivers, the "Shadowy St Joe" is rich in mining, logging and early railroading history. There are huckleberries on most hillsides,in the fall, take some extra time and treat yourself to one of Idaho's secrets.

Recommended tackle: sinking line and nymphs. Go big on the nymphs if you want to hook a monster cutt.

Recommended fishing methods:
Drift a weighted parks nymph here anytime during the season and I guarantee you'll hookup.
