We first came to this center looking for a cache (GCTEVB) that was sponsored by the park staff. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We went on to look for the Bats cache, but got side tracked with the pond. Saw a young raccoon climbing the tree (up close), a turtle hanging out on a rock, and a tadpole with legs. A member of the staff ended up catching the raccoon and having to relocate it. Eventually wandered down the trail to look for BATS, and then met a family romping around the area for turtles and salamanders. Introduced them to Geocaching, gave them geocache name and a color brochure I got from the downloads section of this site (Thanks to whomever made it). Cool day at the park. The nature center has some pretty cool stuff for kids of ALL ages (even retirement). I have lived around here for many years and have never visited before tracking down thsi cache...the center is definitely worth the visit, and I will go back soon to finish up the caches.

We have gone back for several other park scheduled nature romps and cache hunts. Members of our Middle Tennessee Geo Cachers group are even teaching geocaching here. Check out the schedule if you are in town. You may catch a concert in the park.
