Found this brewery accidentally while having dinner at Merriman's Marketplace in Waikoloa King's Shops. They had this local beer on tap, and, of course, I had to try it. We all tried the Mauna Kea Pale Ale--very tasty and refreshing on a steamy Hawaiian evening. Other Mehana beers include Hawaii Lager, Volcano Red, Roy's Private Reserve, and Humpback Blue. There is no restaurant at the brewery, but if you are in the Hilo area, stop in for a tour of the brewery and see the aloha in action! Locally founded and owned since 1995.
