The Blennerhasset Hotel opened its doors in 1889 and began serving guests with an unmatched style and elegance. Designed and built by William Chancellor, a prominent Parkersburg businessman, the hotel was a majestic showplace that radiated the captivated atmosphere of the gaslight ers. The original hotel had approximately 50 guestrooms.
Staying true to the legacy of the Blennerhasset, many updates and additions have been made over the years, with a full restoration taking place in 1985.
