The Shinn Covered Bridge was built in 1886 by builder Ebenezer B. Henderson.
The bridge crosses West Branch Wolf Creek and is 98 feet in length. The bridge truss construction is the MKP with arch type. Ohio state bridge number is 35-84-03.
