Home of the United States Space Camp education program, the Space & Rocket Center features interactive science exhibits demonstrating principles of space travel as well as space-themed rides. The museum exhibits include a Saturn V rocket, Skylab simulator, Pathfinder orbiter, SR-71 Blackbird, Apollo 16 command module "Casper," and the nation's only full-scale Space Shuttle exhibit. The Space & Rocket Center is a joint effort of the US Army Missile Command and NASA featuring more than 1,500 pieces of rocket and space hardware.
The museum facilities were the inspiration for and location for the production of the 1986 feature film, "SpaceCamp."
