Jackson-Madison County Library is located in Jackson, Tennessee, the center of commerce and industry in West Tennessee. The library provides access to a tremendous variety of materials and services for a county population of 91,837. We have current, high interest materials in various formats as well as accurate and up-to-date reference sources for all ages. Our materials, programs, and special services provide public access to information and help to meet the interests and educational needs of the citizens of Madison County.
Our helpful and knowledgeable staff is available to provide information and service, to assist all 35,273 library patrons in the location and use of library materials, and to provide accurate answers to questions.
The library inventory as of January, 2005 included: 115,857 books; 214 newspapers and magazine subscriptions; 1,461 videos; 2,400 compact discs; 5476 cassette tapes; 132 DVDs; 1,941 microfilm. In addition to fiction and non-fiction books for all ages, materials in the library collection which may be borrowed include DVDs, videos, compact discs and cassettes. We have Best Sellers, Repair Manuals, Test Books, How-To Books, Books-on-Tape, Feature Films, and Educational Videos. Come check us out!
