This mark is located on church at the heart of Llanfairfechan and it was last verified by the OS in 1941. The OS database shows this mark to be at a height of 56.7894m above the Newlyn datum and 0.5m above the ground. The cut mark is upside-down!
· Additional information.
This mark has an associated 1GL Bolt which was part of the First Primary levelling of England and Wales. The Bolt was on a Branch from the main Warrington to Pembroke Docks levelling line and is described in the levelling abstract as ‘ Llanfairfechan church, Bolt in South transept; 1.81ft, above surface’. The bolt was levelled at a height of 185.951ft above the Liverpool Datum.
