The Bonne Terre Depot was a stop on the Mississippi River & Bonne Terre Railroad. Completion date was 1890. Passenger service was provided until the 1940s. Places passed on the way to St. Louis included - Slime Creek, Big River, Bee Run, Silver Springs, Valles Mines, Joachim Creek, Papin, Oakvale, Flucom, Plattin, Selma, and Herculaneum. Apparently in it's hayday, the Depot was the center of activity. Everyone came to meet the train - especially on Sunday afternoons. Information gathered from "Bonne Terre: The First Hundred Years" by Robert M. Blackwell.
