This marker is for Albert and John Darst, both sons of W.H. and S.A. Darst. With the layout of the single plate that has names and dates, and the large date on the marker, it would appear that this marker was used to replace an old marker that was here.

Albert A. Darst was born July 25, 1858 and died Oct. 26, 1884. John was born Nov. 18, 1851, and died May 22, 1863.

As I mentioned there is only one plate which has both Albert and John's information on it. Below this plate is written "We remember you still." The other sides are an image of a cross adorned with roses, daisies, and other flowers. There is also what may be bunches of grapes, but I'm not certain. Below this plate is the date 1891 There is also a plate which reads "Gone but still remembered." Below this plate is a sheaf of wheat, and then the family name. Above this plate is the letter "D."
