A rather interesting marker which gives a brief narrative of how Mr. and Mrs. Renz came to settle in this area.
Sebastian was died March 18, 1879 at the age of 80 years, 3 months, and 27 days. Anna M. was 80 years and 3 months old when she passed on Nov. 20, 1875.
The front plate on this marker tells the story of their story. They had children who are not listed on this marker. They were both born in Wurtemburg, Germany and moved to Morrow County, Ohio in 1832.
This Zinc marker is a little different from most that I've seen. Instead of having individual plates that are screwed into the marker, the entire marker is cast as a whole. Each side has a leafy plant at the bottom, and ivy and drapery circles the top portion of the marker. The front of the marker also shows a sheaf of wheat.
