The original (and mostly obsolete) description from 1934:

262 (Ky.Geod.S.)(Madison County, D.V.Terrell, 1934).--1.25 miles southwest of Berea, in field 1 foot south of wire fence, approximately 850 feet north of one-story (unpainted) frame house with barn close behind house, 650 feet northwest of one-story frame (white) house, 500 feet west of one-story frame (red) house, 400 feet north of two-story frame (unpainted) house, and 15 feet from 30-inch live oak in fence line (property line between Prewitt Smith and Henry Parsons), on property of Prewitt Smith. Station is a U.S.C.& G.S. and State Survey standard disk in concrete. No elevation has been determined for this station.
