This benchmark is located along Lake County Rd. 5-10 (to Fort Rock), 4.5 miles east of the junction with Hwy 31 and just west of BLM Rd. 6119A. The benchmark is set in bedrock about 20 feet south of the south fenceline. The benchmark was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey and State Survey in 1934 and marked D270, 4353 feet.
