With our love of the outdoors, I thought it would only be appropriate to propose outdoors. I decided on a geocache. I hid a new cache with all the normal swag, but included a ring pop.
One Saturday evening I asked her if she wanted to go grab a cache before dinner. We hiked out into the woods and I mentioned on the way there that it hadn't been found yet and she might get her first FTF.
We got there, she found the cache, and as she was noticing it hadn't been logged (because it wasn't even submitted for approval at this point), I proposed with the ring pop.
She thought I was kidding because of the ring pop, but when I asked a second time she knew I was serious. I asked her to sit on the log and close her eyes and we'd try the ring on. I slipped on the real ring and she loved it.
Luckily the ring made up for not actually getting the FTF :)
