Malcolm McMillan Blue, an early Scottish settler, built his home on a branch of Devil's Gut in 1825. His son, Malcolm James established "Blue's Crossing" post office in 1877; renamed Aberdeen in 1887. The Blue Farm, a National Historic Register property, is the site of Historic Crafts & Skills Festivals. Located East on Hwy. 5
