The Club Diner on Dutton Street has been serving great food for a long time. Owned and operated by the Levasseur Family since it opened in 1937.
The 1930s Worcester diner is original, featuring yellow side panels with red lettering and ceiling fans inside. The top of the walls are lined with photographs of patrons taken at the diner.
Another nice touch was the classic laminated breakfast menu complete with a caricatured rooster crowing "Good Morning!" with a farm scene in the background.
The bottomless coffee is excellent, served in porcelain mugs bearing the diner's image (Of which I have several, may have even bought one).
Prices were excellent too, most entrees coming in just under $5.
I would give this diner a rating of 5 stars, but Blanche is now working at another place, and she was the reason most people would eat there after a night out. Blanche was a trip, telling bikers off at 3 am was a sight to behold, and they would allways be apologetic after one of her scoldings. I'll post the name of the place she went to once I remember it.
To go with the diner experience, across the street is a cosmetically preserved steam locomotive and an operating trolley line. The reproduction trolley cars belong to the Lowell National Park. They are used to transport visitors to the various musuem sites.
