This one is unusual in its location, its singularity, and the stories behind it. This single head stone sits right on the side of Cardington Road in Marion County, Ohio. The headstone is laying flush with the ground and it is surrounded by a stone "wall" of sorts, loosely bolted together with rusty bolts. There is a plaque standing nearby which claims that John Grimm, the gentleman buried here, was killed by a falling tree on October 6, 1833. Other stories claim that Mr. Grimm was being accompanied by his brother during a walk from Mt. Vernon to Marion to seek employment. It is said they setup camp here for the evening and Mr. Grimm was killed that night by his brother.
