This building dates from 1910, and served as a passenger and freight depot. It currently is used for storage.

At the site:
An old general store, presently vacant, stands 100 feet east of the depot. Across the street is the Carpenter Hardware Store, which has been operated by the Carpenter family since the late 1800’s. Both buildings served as the US Post Office, from time to time.

To reach from NC-55 at Morrisville-Carpenter Road, proceed east 0.1 mile, crossing the tracks. The depot is in an open field on the left.
