This cannon lies in the center of a traffic rotary in Lynn, Massachusetts. The rotary (named the Donald J. Aliferis Memorial Rotary) lies at the entrance to Nahant, at the intersection of the Lynnway, Nahant Road, and Lynn Shore Drive. Parking is available off of neighborhood streets.
A plaque in front of the gun states:
"Freedom — Patriotism — Humanity
This cannon was used during the Spanish-American War and is dedicated to honor and commemorate the valor and patriotism of the men of the city of Lynn, who served in the war with Spain, Philippine Insurrection and China Relief Expedition from 1898–1902, under the auspices of General Joseph P. Sanger Camp 15
