"Tromsø Cathedral (Norwegian: Tromsø domkirke) is the seat of the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland of the Church of Norway, in Tromsø, Norway.
It has the distinction of being the only cathedral in Norway, along with Tromsø Cathedral, made of wood. It was built in 1861 by architect Christian Heinrich Grosch in the Gothic Revival style. It has a cruciform floor plan with a single clock tower in the center of the western facade, where the main entrance is located.
Tromsø Cathedral is located in the city center, where the city's first church once stood, a royal chapel built by order of Haakon IV in 1252. Later, Elverhøy Church was built on the same site; it was moved to Tromsøya Island in 1861 when construction of the cathedral began.
