This 15,000-gallon tank in northeast Raleigh was constructed when the surrounding area was rural. Today, it serves as an antenna support for two cellular companies.

According to a label on the southeast leg, the tank was constructed in 1955 by W.E. Coldwell Company, Louisburg, KY. The capacity is 15,000 gallons, and the height of the bottom of the tank is sixty feet.

It is located in the 7800 block of Leesville Road, at the intersection with Sprague Road. The tank is on a wooded lot, 0.13 acres in size. The land is owned by an individual. Tall metal posts have been added to support cellular antennas at the top of the tower.
