Este cenote se encuentra en el pueblo de Albalá, 2 km antes de la hacienda Mucuyche de Peón. Semiabierto, el cenote está cubierto por el techo de la cueva con hermosas estalactitas. Una escalera conduce al agua transparente.

This cenote is located in the village of Albala, 2 km before the hacienda Mucuyche de Peon. Semi-open, the cenote is covered by the roof of the cave with beautiful stalactites. A staircase leads to the transparent water.

Yucatán, atesora algunos de los cenotes más hermosos de estas tierras mayas. El Cenote Kankirixché, es uno de lo más bonitos en la zona de Abalá y Mucuyché. Su nombre significa fruta amarilla del árbol, en maya. Es de tipo semiabierto de aguas cristalinas, deberás descender por una escalera unos 15 metros hasta una cavidad amplia. Disfrutarás enredado entre estalactitas, estalagmitas y raíces mientras nadas en estas refrescantes aguas. Es uno de los cenotes de Yucatán más buceados en esta zona de cenotes, para los que les guste la aventura del buceo. Como recomendación, la mejor hora para visitar el cenote que varía según la época del año, es entre las 11 y 14 hrs, con el sol en su cenit, para poder apreciar el juego de luces.

Its name, which is in Mayan language, means yellow fruit from the tree. It is a semi-open type cenote of crystalline waters, you must descend through stairs around 49.2 ft until getting to a wide cave. You will enjoy being among stalactites, stalagmites, and roots, while swimming in its refreshing waters. If you like diving adventures, it is one of the cenotes where most people go to scuba dive in this area. As a tip, the best time to visit this place changes depending on the season, but it is between 11 am and 2 pm, when the sun reaches its peak, so that you can watch the lights play.
