WITH DREAM TIME CREATIVE
This Blue Plaque was placed by 'The Dream Time Creative' in partnership with Wakefield Civic Society. It had been noticed that the majority of blue plaques that were raised to commemorate people in fact commemorated men. In an endeavour to rectify this the Dream Time Creative created 'The Forgotten Women of Wakefield' project to empower the community — and in particular the women’s voice — through the concrete goal of achieving Blue Plaque Parity for Wakefield’s historical women.
