Careys Peak Weather Station - Barrington Tops NP, NSW, Australia - Weather Stations on Waymarking.com

Just off of Link Track, a couple of hundred metres south of Wombat Creek campsite is a tall post with a snow/rain gauge mounted high to avoid too much interference from surrounding trees. It is at about 1430m ASL, and with Barometric, Sunshine, Wind Speed and Direction meters able to give true natural conditions, as there is minimal human activity - apart from hikers coming up the T3.5 Corker Track 200m to the west! On the back of the telemetry box is a stainless steel plaque with:
