Dit is de enige stadspoort die nog in Gorinchem staat.
verder waren er nog de Kanselpoort, de Arkelpoort, en de Waterpoort ( de laaste et bezichtigen in de tuin van het rijksmuseum).
De Dalempoort werd gebouwd tussen 1595 en 1597 in 1770 en was onderdeel van de omwalling die in 1609 werd afgerond. In 1770 werd de poort aanzienlijk uitgebreid.

This is the only city gate still standing in Gorinchem.
There were also the Kanselpoort, the Arkelpoort and the Waterpoort (the last one on display in the garden of the state museum).
The Dalempoort was built between 1595 and 1597 in 1770 and was part of the ramparts completed in 1609. In 1770, the gate was significantly expanded.
