"Esta capilla se encuentra junto a la Casa Natal de Jovellanos y el antiguo hospital de peregrinos (por Gijón pasa el Camino Costero de Santiago o “Camino del Norte”). Su construcción data del siglo XV y está construida en piedra. Su fachada es del año 1950.
Tiene planta rectangular, y el altar está presidido por una Virgen y un Nazareno. En su interior están los restos del ilustrado Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos fueron trasladados aquí en 1940.
El conjunto fue declarado Monumento Histórico del patrimonio español."

"This chapel is located next to the Birthplace of Jovellanos and the old pilgrim hospital (the Camino Costero de Santiago or “Camino del Norte” passes through Gijón). Its construction dates back to the 15th century and is built in stone. Its façade is from the year 1950.
It has a rectangular plan, and the altar is presided over by a Virgin and a Nazarene. Inside are the remains of the enlightened Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos, who were moved here in 1940.
The complex was declared a Historical Monument of Spanish heritage."
