De ce port, le 19 juin 1940 un jeune Roscovite. Théo Gillet, quitta la France à la barre du thonier Lithuanien "Baltoji Lelija" pour rejoindre l'Angleterre emmenant avec lui un groupe de compagnons refusant la défaite.
N'oublions pas.
Théodore Gillet s'engagera à 20 ans dans les fusillers marins participera à la bataille de Bir-Hakeim et survivra à la guerre. Il décède en 1993.

From this port, on June 19, 1940 a young Roscovite. Théo Gillet, left France at the helm of the Lithuanian tuna boat "Baltoji Lelija" to join England, taking with him a group of companions refusing defeat.
Do not forget.
Théodore Gillet enlisted at the age of 20 in the marine riflemen, participated in the battle of Bir-Hakeim and survived the war. He died in 1993.
