"El Monumento del Ángel es un grupo escultórico del municipio de Lloret de Mar (Selva) que forma parte del Inventario del Patrimonio Arquitectónico de Cataluña . Se encuentra emplazado sobre una terraza circular, con escaleras abiertas en los cuatro puntos cardinales.
El monumento del Ángel pretendía ser un gran pedrón desde cuya cima la figura de un ángel, con las alas metálicas extendidas, llamaba la atención del peatón y señalaba con la mano derecha el camino de la ermita de la Virgen de Gracia. Como si saliese trasera del brazo izquierdo, una estrella, también de metal, marcaba a la vez el camino del cielo. Con esta actitud de la estatua, se materializaba la estrofa de Jacint Verdaguer esculpida en piedra en la parte central del monumento - la que se encuentra encarada a mediodía, considerada seguramente como la principal- y que dice así: "María al cielo guía por camino de flores vamos y corremos cantando sus amores" JACINTO VERDAGUER. Había pues la invitación de ir a visitar a Maria, en su santuario y de seguir su guiaje hacia el cielo.
La imagen de Ángel se apoya sobre una esfera de piedra, que posiblemente es la esfera del mundo. En el ecuador de esta bola, como si la dividiera en dos hemisferios, hay una banda en bronce, con la leyenda "Mater Divinae Gratiae", es decir Madre de la Divina Gracia. El cuerpo central del monumento tiene forma ligeramente de tronco piramidal. De cara al sur destaca el relieve de la Virgen de Gracia, debajo del cual se encuentra la cuartelera verdagueriana. En el punto de unión del cuerpo central y de la base, existe un medallón de bronce obra del escultor Eusebe Arnau y Mascort y fundido en los talleres de Masriera y Campins con la cara de Mn. Jacinto Verdaguer . Un medallón profusamente ornamentado con guirnaldas, incisas con las obras del autor. Este medallón fue el primer homenaje material que se tributó en Cataluña al poeta de Folgueroles, después de su muerte en 1902."

There was therefore the invitation to go visit Mary, in her sanctuary and to follow her guidance towards heaven.
The image of Angel rests on a stone sphere, which is possibly the sphere of the world. At the equator of this ball, as if dividing it into two hemispheres, there is a bronze band, with the legend "Mater Divinae Gratiae", that is, Mother of Divine Grace. The central body of the monument is slightly shaped like a pyramidal trunk. Facing south, the relief of the Virgin of Grace stands out, below which is the Verdaguerian barracks. At the junction of the central body and the base, there is a bronze medallion created by the sculptor Eusebe Arnau y Mascort and cast in the Masriera and Campins workshops with the face of Mn. Jacinto Verdaguer. A medallion profusely decorated with garlands, incised with the author's works. This medallion was the first material tribute paid in Catalonia to the poet of Folgueroles, after his death in 1902."
