This large bell tower is made up of three bodies, where the third houses the 10 bells of which this bell tower is made up.

"The bell tower located on the south façade was built in the 18th century, after the collapse of the previous one located at the head, as a result of the Lisbon earthquake. Vicente Catalán Bengoechea, senior master of the works of the Royal Tobacco Factory from Seville, was the architect in charge of the works. He designed a robust and enormous tower, as a reference to the Giralda. The project remained unfinished, which provided for a second body of bells above the current one, plus another with an octagonal plan for the clock, and another more similar one as the final finish. In this bell tower Renaissance elements are combined with other Baroque ones, especially the rounded balconies under the bells, statues, and small stone ornaments alternating with glazed ceramic hemispheres."
