Located on the grounds of Lehigh Valley Health Network's office building (former headquarters of Mack Trucks), this sculpture is a gift from Phillip and Muriel Berman, arts benefactors in the 1970s through the 1990s.
This sculpture replaced another one recently, but the Bermans donated Organ Car #1 to the City of Allentown in 1994. It is not known where it was placed originally, but in the early 1990's several artists worked at L&M Fabricators in Bath, PA to produce sculptures. Mr. Cassidy produced several "Organ" sculptures by using pipes he found on the premises. A sibling sculpture is at Lehigh University.
Here is the article describing the creation of the Organ Sculptures:

The sculpture is made from steel pipes and other metal yard waste. It is painted in a brown color today.
