Located in the unincorporated village of Columbus, ON the Township Hall is located on Simcoe Street North.

The Hall was completed in 1859, and served the residents in the former Township of East Whitby. This hall remained in municipal use until 1974, when the area was absorbed by the current City of Oshawa.

The Town Hall was restored in 1967 as a Canadian Centennial Project.

The village of Columbus traces its beginnings to 1830, when the area was settled by primarily Irish immigrants. The centre of an agricultural area, the village currently has about 325 residents.
