Kattenbos is a special part of Lommel. The entire area is rich in pine forests that is slowly evolving into deciduous forests. In the Kattenbos, you will find a large off leash area for dogs (translated Losloopzone honden).

When you leave the parking area and walk in westernly direction, you will quickly see the off leash area for 7dogs. It is quite a large area where your dog can really enjoy a run.

About the Kattenbos:
"The area is not only a natural gem with breathtaking heathland landscapes, but also has a rich history. A beautiful remnant of this is the Leyssensmolen, a flour mill from 1797.

The viewing walk is also recommended: a fascinating and playful discovery tour past ten special landscape spots or viewing points along the signposted paths. Enjoy the heathland beauty from an original perspective."
