La Sala de Emplomados del Castillo de Chapultepec se caracteriza por un gigantesco vitral lleno de luz y colorido. Es un largo pasillo que exhibe una sucesión de hermosos vitrales que fueron fabricados en París por encargo de Porfirio Díaz en 1900 y muestra las figuras de cinco diosas griegas.
Los vitrales expresan la predilección por el arte europeo del siglo XIX y las fuentes grecolatinas de la sociedad porfiriana. Las imágenes que podemos admirar a lo largo de este pasillo son:
- Pomona, diosa que patrocinaba las cosechas de frutos
- Flora, cuya belleza se iguala a la de las flores que abren en primavera
- Hebe, portadora del néctar divino que otorga la eterna juventud
- Diana, deidad cazadora, patrona de la fertilidad y el nacimiento, y
- Ceres, quien preside sobre la agricultura, el grano y el amor que una madre profesa por sus hijos.
Se dice que la decoración de esa parte del castillo fue una petición de la esposa de Porfirio Díaz, Carmen Romero Rubio de Díaz. Lo que es seguro, es que los vitrales fueron fabricados en París, Francia, por la compañía Champigneulle Fills, son una ferviente muestra de la admiración que tenía el régimen porfiriano por el estilo europeo y la necesidad de traer la modernidad a la nación por medio de la europeización.
Las imágenes de las diosas griegas de la naturaleza combinan con el ambiente natural del Bosque de Chapultepec, reflejan tranquilidad y equilibrio que la naturaleza tiene gracias a ellas.

The Lead Room of Chapultepec Castle is characterized by a gigantic stained glass window full of light and color. It is a long hallway that displays a succession of beautiful stained glass windows that were made in Paris by order of Porfirio Díaz in 1900 and shows the figures of five Greek goddesses.
The stained glass windows express the predilection for 19th century European art and the Greco-Latin sources of Porfirian society. The images that we can admire along this hallway are:
- Pomona, goddess who sponsored fruit harvests
- Flora, whose beauty is equal to that of the flowers that open in spring
- Hebe, bearer of the divine nectar that grants eternal youth
- Diana, hunting deity, patron of fertility and birth, and
- Ceres, who presides over agriculture, grain and the love that a mother professes for her children.
It is said that the decoration of that part of the castle was a request from Porfirio Díaz's wife, Carmen Romero Rubio de Díaz. What is certain is that the stained glass windows were manufactured in Paris, France, by the Champigneulle Fills company. They are a fervent example of the admiration that the Porfirian regime had for the European style and the need to bring modernity to the nation through of Europeanization.
The images of the Greek goddesses of nature combine with the natural environment of the Chapultepec Forest, reflecting the tranquility and balance that nature has thanks to them.
