Reeds in 1680 laat Anton van Aldenburg, de toenmalige kasteelheer een nieuwe school, annex schoolmeesterwoning bouwen vlak naast de kerk. Deze school is tot 1883 in gebruik geweest. Daarna gingen de leerlingen naar Rehoboth. De school zelf lag tussen de kerk en de huidige pastorie in en schijnt ook door de koster gebruikt te zijn. Afgebrand in 1884.
Aanbesteding. Op Zaterdag 4 Augustus 1882, des namiddags 2 uur, zal door Burgemeester en Wethouders der gemeente Doorwerth worden aanbesteed: Het bouwen van eene School voor 48 leerlingen met eene Onderwijzerswoning onder een dak, te Doorwerth. Het Bestek en Teekening zijn na 23 Juli a. s. op franco aanvraag à. f 1.25 per stel te verkrijgen ter Gemeente-secretarie van Doorwerth. Aanwijzing in loco op den dag der aanbesteding des middags 12 uur. Burgemeester en Wethouders voornoemd: P. F. A. J. Baron Van Brakell Doorwerth, Burgemeester. J. G. H. van der Dussen, Secretaris.

Rehoboth werd gebouwd als schoolgebouw in opdracht van de Doorwerthse burgemeester de heer P.F.A.J van Brakell in 1883. Het gebouw is tot 1938 in gebruik geweest als lagere school en zaal van de Oranje vereniging. Verkocht door de gemeente in 1920.
Tegenwoordig is Rehoboth te huur voor bijeenkomsten. Laatste grote renovatie was in 1948 als de oorlogsschade wordt herstelt.

As early as 1680, Anton van Aldenburg, the then lord of the castle, had a new school and schoolmaster's house built right next to the church. This school was in use until 1883. Then the disciples went to Rehoboth. The school itself was located between the church and the current parsonage and appears to have also been used by the sexton. Burned down in 1884.
Tender. On Saturday, August 4, 1882, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the Mayor and Aldermen of the municipality of Doorwerth will put out to tender: The construction of a school for 48 students with a teacher's house under one roof, in Doorwerth. The Specifications and Drawing are due after July 23rd. upon request, free of charge. f 1.25 per couple available at the Municipal Secretariat of Doorwerth. Instruction in loco on the day of the tender at 12 noon. The aforementioned Mayor and Aldermen: P. F. A. J. Baron Van Brakell Doorwerth, Mayor. J. G. H. van der Dussen, Secretary.

Rehoboth was built as a school building on behalf of the mayor of Doorwerth, Mr P.F.A.J van Brakell in 1883. The building was used as a primary school and hall of the Orange association until 1938. Sold by the municipality in 1920.
Today, Rehoboth can be rented for meetings. The last major renovation was in 1948 when the war damage was repaired.
