This plaque is located in Brigus, Newfoundland along "The Walk". The sign notes a Methodist school that operated nearby from 1804 to 1908. The plaque is embedded into the rocky hillside and fairly hidden by shrubs.

The first Methodist School in Brigus was located near this site.
The school w as initiated by Reverend John Percy,
who was pastor and teacher in Brigus from 1804-1820.
The building was destroyed by fire in 1908.
