"El Festival Mir'Mir ha tenido como objetivo hacer reflexionar sobre nuestra relación con el entorno natural y establecer una esperanzadora mirada para las generaciones futuras.
Montcada i Reixac es un municipio atravesado por diversas infraestructuras que tienen un gran impacto. Una de ellas es la autopista C-33, que recorre elevada más de medio kilómetro por el casco urbano, generando una zona gris y sin vida.
Desde el Ayuntamiento de Montcada i Reixac se ha querido transformar este espacio en un polo de atracción, convirtiéndolo en una inmensa galería de arte al aire libre. Los pilares se han convertido en enormes lienzos de obras pictóricas de gran envergadura que, siguiendo un hilo argumental, se presentan como un bosque de árboles milenarios en medio de la ciudad que esconde animales majestuosos en convivencia armoniosa con niños valientes. También hay, camuflados en las pinturas, animales característicos de la fauna autóctona del Besòs , el río que atraviesa la ciudad. Se trata de una alegoría con la que se quiere reflexionar sobre nuestra relación con el entorno natural y establecer una mirada esperanzadora para las generaciones futuras.
Con este objetivo, se realizó el festival Mira'Mir y se ofreció a varios artistas 25 pilares de más de 64 m 2 de superficie que hay a lo largo de 500 metros bajo la autopista para realizar un gran mural de temática relacionada con la naturaleza y el medio ambiente . Esta actividad artística se realizó utilizando la técnica mural, con pintura plástica para exterior, pinceles, rodillos y aerosoles ecológicos .
Este festival se celebró durante todo el fin de semana del 19 al 21 de octubre de 2018 y contó con talleres, actuaciones musicales y una amplia oferta gastronómica y el apoyo de la Diputación de Barcelona, ??entre otros.

"The Mir'Mir Festival has aimed to reflect on our relationship with the natural environment and establish a hopeful outlook for future generations.
Montcada i Reixac is a municipality crossed by various infrastructures that have a great impact. One of them is the C-33 highway, which runs elevated for more than half a kilometer through the urban area, generating a gray and lifeless area.
The Montcada i Reixac City Council wanted to transform this space into a pole of attraction, turning it into an immense open-air art gallery. The pillars have become enormous canvases of large-scale pictorial works that, following a plot thread, are presented as a forest of ancient trees in the middle of the city that hides majestic animals in harmonious coexistence with brave children. There are also, camouflaged in the paintings, animals characteristic of the native fauna of the Besòs, the river that runs through the city. It is an allegory with which we want to reflect on our relationship with the natural environment and establish a hopeful outlook for future generations.
With this objective, the Mira'Mir festival was held and several artists were offered 25 pillars with a surface area of ??more than 64 m 2 that are along 500 meters under the highway to create a large mural with a theme related to nature and environment . This artistic activity was carried out using the mural technique, with outdoor plastic paint, brushes, rollers and ecological sprays.
This festival was held throughout the weekend from October 19 to 21, 2018 and featured workshops, musical performances and a wide gastronomic offer and the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council, among others.
