Louisiana Purchase marker is a National Historic Landmark and home to a monument marking the Initial Point (IP) for surveys of the 1803 Louisiana Purchase. The monument lies within a fascinating headwater swamp and can be viewed via an elevated boardwalk that has many wayside exhibits. The park lies at the end of Arkansas 362, 2 miles East from U.S. Highway 49 and about 19 miles southeast of Brinkley,Arkansas. It has no camping facilities, rest rooms or on-site staff.
It is Arkansas's 18th State Park.
