Horace Everett Martin, who lived to the ripe old age of ninety, was an insurance salesman by trade but he loved to fly. He studied to become a pilot while in his forties and his hobby was buying and selling small airplanes, and he often took trips all over the country to pick up an airplane he had purchased. The back of his black marble headstone bears the image of a single-engine airplane and the text "I'd Rather Be Flying."
