"La chapelle de Tadoussac est une ancienne chapelle de mission construite entre 1747 et 1750. Le bâtiment en bois, lambrissé de planches à clins peintes en blanc, se compose d'une nef rectangulaire à un vaisseau et d'un choeur terminé par une abside à pans coupés. Sa façade est percée d'une porte à deux battants et d'une fenêtre cintrée à petits carreaux. Elle est surmontée d'un clocher à une lanterne et d'une croix. Le toit à deux versants retroussés en bardeaux est peint en rouge. Une sacristie en bois est adossée au choeur.

Un cimetière, bordé par un muret en pierre et par une clôture en bois, est situé du part et d'autre du lieu de culte. La chapelle de Tadoussac est implantée sur un terrain surplombant la baie de Tadoussac, dans la municipalité du même nom.

Ce cimetière s'élève sur un emplacement exceptionnel, en surplomb d'une baie au confluent de la rivière Saguenay et du fleuve Saint-Laurent, et offre un panorama remarquable sur le fleuve.

Il y a environ une centaine de tombes dont certaines sont le lieu de repos d'Amérindiens décédés à Tadoussac aussi loin qu'au début du 17e siècle. "

"The Tadoussac chapel is a former mission chapel built between 1747 and 1750. The wooden building, paneled with white-painted clapboards, consists of a rectangular nave with one nave and a chancel ending in an apse with cut sides. Its facade is pierced by a double door and an arched window with small panes. It is topped by a bell tower with a lantern and a cross. The gable roof turned up in shingles is painted red. A wooden sacristy is attached to the choir.

A cemetery, bordered by a low stone wall and a wooden fence, is located on either side of the place of worship. The Tadoussac chapel is located on land overlooking Tadoussac Bay, in the municipality of the same name.

This cemetery stands on an exceptional location, overlooking a bay at the confluence of the Saguenay River and the St. Lawrence River, and offers a remarkable panorama of the river.

There are about a hundred tombs, some of which are the resting places of Native Americans who died in Tadoussac as far back as the beginning of the 17th century."
